About BasementMath

Foundation and water problems are some of the most expensive, and most confusing, repairs a homeowner faces. BasementMath exists to make the price clear before you sign anything.

What we do

We build free calculators that price repairs the way contractors do: per pier, per foot of drain, per square foot of liner. Every estimate is itemized so you can see what drives the total and compare it line by line with the quotes you get. Our methodology page explains where the numbers come from.

What we do not do

• We do not sell leads. We never ask for your phone number or pass your information to contractors.
• We are not paid by any contractor or manufacturer to recommend them.
• We do not provide engineering advice. For structural problems, hire a licensed structural engineer.

How we make money

BasementMath is supported by display advertising. Ads never change our numbers or recommendations.

Corrections

Prices change, and local markets vary. If you see something wrong or have a recent quote that does not fit our ranges, email hello@basementmath.com. We read every message.
